About you

We are seeking to appoint an innovative, inspirational and well-qualified maths teacher with the passion and enthusiasm to fulfil a key leadership role in the school as Assistant Subject Leader in Mathematics, for September 2021.

Outcomes in Mathematics have been consistently above national figures and the successful candidate will be a key member of a close, supportive and hard-working team of five specialist teachers. This post would suit somebody looking for their first leadership role, or a more experienced leader.

About us

Since April 2017 we have been a member of the Weydon Multi Academy Trust, comprising of ourselves, Weydon School, The Ridgeway School, The Abbey School, Farnham Heath End School and The Park School. The close proximity of these schools allows for lots of opportunities for staff collaboration.

Our staff and students are “proud to belong … proud to achieve” and we are looking for someone who will be a team player in this over-subscribed, friendly and good school (Ofsted January 2018) where we challenge all students and staff to be the best they can be. We are a growing 11-16 Academy of 700 students, situated in a fantastic location on the outskirts of Haslemere.

Haslemere lies in Surrey, on the border with Hampshire and West Sussex and we have excellent road and rail links to neighbouring counties. We are situated just 3 minutes’ drive off the main A3 and we are also fortunate to have a train station in Haslemere on the mainline from Portsmouth to London Waterloo. This makes us very accessible from the South Coast or outer London areas by train or car.

We are at an exciting time on our journey to outstanding and are growing to become a school of 900 students. We are looking to recruit staff members who will add to the positive ethos of the school and our commitment to the pursuit of excellence. At Woolmer Hill we pride ourselves on providing an excellent rounded experience for our students and have a commitment to the highest standards for every child. We have fantastic students and staff and Woolmer Hill School is a vibrant, supportive and rewarding place to work.
