 ASSISTANT SUBJECT LEADER OF ENGLISH

An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding assistant subject leader, holding Qualified Teacher Status, to join the English team at Dean Trust Wigan.  

As assistant subject leader you will play a key role in driving the school forward as we continue to rapidly accelerate progress in all key areas through our high standards and expectations.  You will support the Director of Learning in the English faculty.

The Governing Body is now seeking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Subject Leader of English. Improving progress and raising attainment in English at all levels are key challenges for the school.

• enable pupils to achieve the highest possible standards 

• lead a team of staff 

• raise attainment in English at all levels 

• inspire students to love the subject through outstanding teaching  

• work effectively with staff, parents and the community
