Assistant Team Leader - Mathematics

Westborough High SchoolKirklees

Westborough High School is a caring, vibrant and happy learning community.  We value all our staff and work together to make a difference to children’s lives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational assistant team leader to join our school. This vacancy will suit a dynamic, aspirational teacher of maths who is ready to take on a key leadership role within a mathematics department. This is an ideal position for a teacher who is passionate about their subject and is ready to contribute outside of their own classroom. Westborough has a strong and stable staffing platform and can develop staff whatever their career stage.

You are warmly invited to visit our school or arrange a Zoom/MS Teams call with our Director of maths to discuss the role in more detail.

The Ofsted inspection in 2017 designated the school as good, recognising that the ‘pace of improvement is rapid.’  Ofsted also commented on the ‘real community culture in the school.’  The school has a reputation for good educational standards, firm discipline and a caring ethos which focuses on the development of individuals.

Applications are welcomed from candidates who:

• Consistently deliver highly effective lessons in your subject area

• Have experience of developing effective teaching resources and strategies

• Have strong leadership skills to support the successful leadership of the department

As a valued member of our team we can offer:

• Clear and shared values and expectations

• A commitment to tailored professional development

• A stimulating work environment

• An experienced, highly committed and support leadership team

If you want to work with us on our journey to excellence, then we would like to hear from you.

For further details or to arrange for an informal chat with one of our team, please contact Fiona Sharp, PA to the Headteacher on 01924 469549 or email fsharp@w-h-s.org.uk

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  This post will require an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

If you have the vision and drive for excellence and want to be part of an enthusiastic, dedicated and well-resourced team, committed to ensuring that pupils not only achieve their potential but exceed it, then we would like to hear from you.
