Level 4 Attachment Lead

We are seeking a candidate with an in-depth understanding of children’s mental health and associated challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will be committed and passionate about improving life chances for children who may have had a difficult start to life.

The attachment lead will be responsible for:

· Assessing and identifying the attachment style of children 

· Advising class staff on appropriate interventions and strategies for working with this child

· Coordinating team around the child and team around the family meetings

· Direct work with families

· Direct sessional work with children

· Incident data analysis

· Some on call duties with the inclusion of debrief and forward planning to avoid crisis management

Clinical supervision will be provided. This is a new role and as such will evolve over time. It is expected that the successful candidate will have relevant training in attachment theory. It is expected that the successful candidate will, with support from leadership team, take a lead on the development of attachment focused work across the school.
