About the role

We are looking for an organised, individual with attention to detail and excellent communication skills who can play a key role within  Rawmarsh Community School. Your main responsibility will be to assist with all aspects of monitoring attendance, focussing on the school target of reducing unauthorised absence of students within the school. The role will involve establishing good working relationships and having regular contact with families/carers, Early Help and other agencies, instigating and/or auctioning intervention strategies as directed.

Applications are particularly welcome from those who have a background of working successfully with young people. You should possess a good standard of secondary education (GCSE in English/Maths or equivalent) and have NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Knowledge of Bromcom is desirable, however full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Rawmarsh Community School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. It reopened as an academy in August 2014 and is supported by a multi-academy trust called Wickersley Partnership Trust, an exempt charity that supports nine primary and secondary schools and is regulated by the Secretary of State for Education. 

A smaller than average secondary school, Rawmarsh provides 1,075 places for students between the ages of 11 and 16 when fully subscribed.
