Required for as soon as possible, an Attendance Officer to join the House Support Team.

• Are you very at home analysing spreadsheets and data?
The successful candidate will need to take a lead within school to improve student attendance including developing initiatives to promote good attendance; monitor internal truancy; monitor and pursue persistent absence and lateness, initiating legal action as required; provide a key link between home and school and liaise with external providers and multi agencies. The successful candidate must have excellent ICT skills, particularly in the use of Excel.

About The Summerhill School
Summerhill School is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational, community secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Kingswinford, outside Dudley in the West Midlands, and there are 1,010 students on its roll.
We are a community school. We have wonderful children, caring and supportive parents and a great team of staff. We have modern, well-equipped facilities and are located within beautiful countryside. We’ve faced some challenges over the last few years, but this is a school that’s improving rapidly in every way. We were visited in April 2019 by an Ofsted inspection team and we’re very pleased that they recognised our improvements and rated us as Good in every category. Since then, our exam results have improved further. Members of our school community can be genuinely proud to be part of Summerhill.
