Inspire their Remarkable with us

Passionate about making a difference? Do you want to work in an academy where the ‘leaders act with Integrity’ and ‘act in pupils best interests’? (Ofsted, 2019)

Tendring Technology College (TTC) is a large, successful 11-19 mixed comprehensive academy.  With over 1,800 young people on roll we strive to be a catalyst; aiming to create not only remarkable lives for our young people, but for our community.  We are an academy that offers a broad and ambitious curriculum, we inspire high aspirations for all.  We have students that gain the very highest academic and vocational outcomes, we  believe passionately in promoting the arts, creativity and sporting success.

We are seeking to appoint an Autism Support Centre Leader. Tendring Technology College is developing an excellent reputation for SEND provision within the Tendring area. As part of this provision we offer a secondary enhanced provision for students with ASC in North East Essex.  The provision provides for high functioning students with an autistic spectrum condition to enable them to access mainstream provision. We currently have 18 students on our roll and we are seeking a provision leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of interventions as well as elements of the mainstream curriculum. They will also be responsible for the holistic progress of the students within the provision and working with parents and other professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead the development of this over subscribed provision.  We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational practitioner who has proven experience of working with a range of students and has a good awareness of the needs of students with ASC.

We passionately believe that every child can discover their own remarkable life. It’s what motivates us around here. We know this vision requires something extra. Which is why at AET, you’ll find more. More opportunities, so you can forge your own path. More care and support, so you can prioritise what matters most. More purpose, for you and for the children we are inspiring.

We offer:

  • More opportunity to grow your career - We’ll support you in developing your career and experience at this school or another AET school.
  • More tailored support - We understand every academy is unique. We’ll give you tailored support and flexibility, allowing you to do what’s best for your children.

About Tendring Technology College

**Please scroll to the bottom of this page to view our live vacancies**

Tendring Technology College is a large split site comprehensive school for students aged 11-18, located in the pleasant village of Thorpe-le-Soken and the historic town of Frinton-on-Sea. The mix of this rural and coastal location is a lovely backdrop for our young people and at the same time there is easy access to Colchester, the oldest recorded town in the country, and the capital itself, London.

Thorpe Campus is situated in the village of Thorpe-le-Soken. It serves students aged 11-14. Our Frinton Campus serves the needs of students aged 14-19. We take children from a large area surrounding the College. This includes Thorpe-le-Soken, Kirby-le-Soken, Kirby Cross, Great Holland, Little Clacton, Weeley, Tendring, Little Bentley, Wix, Beaumont, Great Oakley, Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze as well as a number of students who travel from much further afield including Harwich, Alresford and Colchester.

Tendring Technology College is an academy and it converted in August 2011. The school was judged to be ‘inadequate’ following an Ofsted inspection in November. The outcome was ‘serious weaknesses’ rather than ‘special measures’ in recognition of the fact that the trust and school leaders were taking the right actions to improve the school and had effective capacity to do so.
