Share your skills and knowledge with us and join the Therapy Team at Portfield School as a Behaviour Practitioner.

In this role, you will be working directly with our students from ages 4 - 19 to embed PBS practice increasing positive outcomes and learning opportunities for our students. You will join a close-knit team of clinical professionals in occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, music therapy and dance movement therapy.


You will also use your expertise to:

Work closely with students and staff to conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments

Develop Positive Behaviour Support plans using evidence-based practice

Teach support teams how to implement these plans effectively using a Behavioural Skills Training approach

Monitor PBS plans to ensure adherence and make alterations where required

Contribute to and deliver training programmes that increase understanding of PBS so that high quality support for the individual is provided

Keep informed of the latest research findings and best-practice guidance within the field

We are looking for a candidate who is compelled by what is ethical and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we are supporting. The person must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team and demonstrate excellent time management, communication and organisational skills.


What we want from you:

Proven experience working directly with people who have ASD and/ learning disabilities

Experience conducting or involved in Functional Behaviour Assessments and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans for individuals with ASD and/ intellectual disabilities

Adept in all Microsoft Packages

An MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis or Positive Behaviour Support (desired)
