The role
Our clients require an Behaviour support worker to provide targeted support to students who have identified Special Educational Needs and challenging behaviours This role will require strong behaviour management and will be both 1:1 or as part of a team. You will need to demonstrate the ability to recognise needs and triggers in your pupils as well as creating a safe and welcoming environment for them to be in.
As daily cover, the successful Behaviour support worker candidate will need to build rapport with their pupils in a short space of time.
The School
Specialist schools and pupil referral units who offer tailored support for pupils with challenging behaviours and social emotional mental health needs. It is based in Huddersfield and is easily commutable.
Requirements
To be considered for the Behaviour support worker position, you will:
A minimum of 2 years’ worth of references - one must be relevant working with children, young people or adults in the past few years
Experience in SEND settings.
Positive attitude
Own transport desirable but not compulsory .
