We have vacancies for House Tutors to work in two of our boarding houses. Tutors are an integral part of the team of each house and share the responsibility for the welfare and pastoral care of the students, assisting with basic routines and evening activities. Previous experience of boarding and working with young people would be an advantage but not essential. Enthusiasm, empathy and the ability to communicate with young people are the most important qualities. Working hours are 5.30 to 10.00 pm either one or two evenings per week during term-time. There is some flexibility regarding which evenings can be worked. Candidates should include details of availability and specify how many evenings they wish to work with their applications.

Closing date: Monday 19th February
Sexey’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. In support of this, the post requires a criminal background check via the disclosure procedure. The successful applicant will therefore be subject to an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check, references and other checks.
