Cuddington Croft are looking for a Breakfast and After School Club Playworker to join our new forward-thinking team to help develop the Breakfast and After School provision for our children.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual to help create a positive experience for the children at our wraparound provision. We are looking for someone to join our team on a permanent basis to work at our Breakfast and After School Club.

The successful candidate will work as part of a new team of dedicated staff to provide a safe and stimulating environment and encourage creative and imaginative playtime activities. The ideal candidate will be either an experienced childcare practitioner or somebody with the right qualities who is keen to learn, who will engage and inspire the children through extra-curricular activities and learning outside the classroom and uphold the ethos and values of the school.


About Cuddington Croft Primary School

Cuddington Croft is a two-form entry primary school, located at Cheam, Surrey, with just under 500 children aged 3 - 11. Children at Cuddington Croft thrive in a caring and nurturing environment, are happy at school and enjoy learning. We promote lifelong learning through an enriched curriculum and are proud of our pupils’ exemplary behaviour and our SATs results. We are a learning community, where staff are of the highest calibre and parents are encouraged to be active in school life. • Have an interest in the play needs of children

• Be able to lead a variety of activities including arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games

• Be proactive and use initiative

• Use their own initiative to differentiate activities ensuring full inclusion for all abilities and ages

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues

The Details

Hours: 17.75 hours a week, 39 weeks of the year as follows:

Monday PM - 2.45pm to 6.45pm                                                                                                Wednesday AM 7.15am to 9am + PM 2.45pm to 6.45pm

Thursday PM - 2.45pm to 6.45pm

Friday PM - 2.45pm to 6.45pm 

Salary: G3/4 £17,322 FTE

Pro Rata: £7,280 based on 17.75 hours a week, 39 weeks of the year

Start Date: September 2020 (dependant on Government guidelines on re-opening the provision)

Closing date for applications:  Friday 17th July

Interview date: Week commencing Monday 3rd August (to take place via video call)

About Cuddington Croft Primary School

Cuddington Croft is an all-through 2 Form Surrey Primary School for children aged 3-11 years, including the Nursery Unit. The school is situated in West Drive, Cheam, within a pleasant, residential area in the Borough of Epsom and Ewell. We are significantly oversubscribed due to the high standards our children achieve, the first-rate staff team, and very good OFSTED reports. The school is noted for its excellent SATs results, and regularly features in the top 10 Surrey Primary Schools, and occasionally in the top 200 schools within the country. The majority of children significantly exceed the nationally expected grades in both key stage 1 & 2.
