ArtsEd, one of the UK’s leading, and most exciting Art’s schools based in Chiswick, West London is seeking to appoint, from September 2021, an inspirational and talented BTEC Musical Director, Singing and Ensemble Tutor for our Sixth Form who will sustain and improve the quality of vocational training and education offered to our Sixth Form students.
The BTEC Musical Theatre Extended Diploma is an enormously popular choice with students alongside the opportunity for students to study one or two additional subjects at A' level.
In collaboration with the Head of BTEC and Musical Theatre Pathway Leader, the post holder will support the vision and ethos for the BTEC Musical Theatre course; you will collaborate to develop the most innovative core units for the subject. Additional specialist units are offered in the MT Pathway, and the post holder is expected to design a varied curriculum that covers a wide breadth of the subject.
The successful candidate will have strong vocational experience of teaching and directing young adults and will be able to work with existing BTEC structures in addition to developing new structures to ensure that students on different pathways receive outstanding teaching and achieve excellent results. The person appointed will contribute to overall teaching elsewhere in the school and will use their wider skills to support a form tutor group and cover colleagues as necessary.
This post will be Full or Part time depending on the successful applicant.
Please submit your application form and letter of application to: email@example.com (Cheryl Jarman, HR Manager 0208 9876697)
