BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION & BUILT ENVIRONMENT
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term to 31st October 2021
Leeds College of Building, in conjunction with WYCC is part of a collaborative bid to develop the skills construction businesses are looking for in the Leeds City Region. The project will develop creative and innovative skills provision approaches that ensure skills gaps are addressed, development of technical and higher apprenticeships and supporting SMEs to engage with skills at a local level.
A love of working with people and diverse organisations is essential in the role of Business Engagement Manager. You will need to be passionate about improving the skills provision available to students and employers and able to bring businesses and organisations together to meet the overall project aims. You will need to be able to stimulate demand from employers and individuals for higher level education and skills and then provide effective links to providers.
You should have a proven track record in business engagement, and possess the ability to identify training needs and create support plans to address these. Prior experience of working in the Construction, Built Environment or associated sectors is also essential.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you should have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of employers and organisations.
