Oaklands College is a vibrant and progressive Further Education College and we are looking for individuals to represent the spirit of Oaklands!  

We are looking for engaging and focussed lecturers to work with our students teaching Business and Travel & Tourism.  We have multiple positions and welcome a diverse range of skill, from recently qualified graduates to experienced lecturers and professionals.  

The successful individuals for this role will possess a passionate approach to teaching and learning.   As a full time member of the department you will work with the wider team to interview, and carry out the assessment, selection and induction of students to the learning programmes.   You will also be involved in the development, design, and evaluation of the curriculum and any associated learning materials. 

There will also be a requirement to take on personal tutor duties as part of this role.  

As a lecturer in the Business and Travel & Tourism department, you will teach across a range of programmes including BTEC Level 1, 2 and 3. Programmes may include units such as: 

• Exploring Business. 

• Developing Marketing Campaigns. 

• Personal and Business Finance. 

• Event Management. 

• International Business. 

• Principles of Management and Business Decision Making.   

Having a finance/accounting background is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidates for this role will have a flexible and solutions focussed approach and a can do attitude.  You must either hold a minimum of Level 3 subject specialist qualification or higher, and / or have 3 years relevant industry experience in the subject specialism.
