Business Manager

Prior Park Schools is a family of schools comprising Prior Park College (Bath), The Paragon Junior School (Bath) and Prior Park School Gibraltar, each providing a high achieving, 

co-educational, Catholic/Christian education. Our encouraging ethos nurtures pupils to become confident, capable, compassionate and independently-minded young people. 

Established in 2016, Prior Park School is a thriving community operating on the former Sacred Heart campus located in the picturesque Old Town, Gibraltar. The school is now entering its third year and the Governors are seeking to appoint a high calibre, experienced, inspirational and dynamic Business Manager to support the Headmaster in guiding the school through its next stage of development. 

The Business Manager will ensure timely and efficient day-to-day business administration and management of the non-teaching activities of the school. The wide-ranging remit includes Premises, Domestic, Finance and HR matters.

Responsible to the UK-based Estates Director, and with the support of our Team of Bath-based specialists, the Business Manager will ultimately report to the Chief Operating Officer. 

The successful candidate will possess a recognised business/management degree (ideally in accounting or finance) or a relevant vocational qualification supported by appropriate experience. He or she will be an effective communicator (both in Spanish and in English). Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomatic manner, flexibility and discretion are essential, as is the ability to prioritise, plan and organise work. Ideally the Business Manager will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the educational sector with experience of the relevant specific support functions.
