Job overview

Working as part of the Business Centre team, the Business Partnerships Manager will promote employer engagement and work with external agencies and stakeholders to develop business opportunities for the College including apprenticeships, classroom, full cost and employability courses. Working with employers to support them with their apprenticeship, recruitment and training strategies, you will generate new business appointments by means of telesales and other sales activities in order to achieve sales targets, and to ensure opportunities within existing customers are maximised.

So, if you are results driven, positive and have a pro-active approach to work, then we’d be delighted to hear from you! You will be educated to A Level standard or above, have a high level of numeracy and computer literacy and be able to work efficiently under pressure, adhering to strict deadlines. You’ll be able to communicate effectively at all levels, be able to produce and present reports to a variety of audiences and be able to influence clients, identifying and meeting customer needs.

Those who have experience of generating income and working with personal sales targets are highly desirable, as are those who have direct and personal experience of selling into businesses.

This position is based at Carshalton College and Merton College.

Carshalton College is a co-educational further education college based in Sutton. It is a non-denominational school.

The college has been an education provider for over 60 years. It is a major provider of full-time, part-time, apprenticeships, access, undergraduate and supported learning courses. 

The college is situated in an environment surrounded by parks and ponds, but within a proximity of the towns of Sutton and Croydon. It is accessible from all areas of south London and its transport links also allow its students to be in the centre of London within 30 minutes.
