We are looking to appoint a Careers Consultant to lead the Harris Federation central Careers Advice Team, supporting academies in delivering careers education, advice and guidance which supports students to make informed careers choices.
This role is term time plus 10 days; however, for the right candidate, we would consider a full-time contract.

Your role:
You will be responsible for the operational and line management of the Federation Careers Advice Team. You will be an enthusiastic team leader, ensuring that you and the team provide a comprehensive careers guidance programme to all students at Harris. You will lead the team and it’s role within the Federation which includes negotiating careers provision in our existing and new academies, producing curriculum materials, planning and delivering bespoke careers events, tracking and managing destinations and supporting the Federation in devising new initiatives and activities which benefit our students.
Although based at the Harris Federation offices close to East Croydon Station (with fast access to central London and the M25), the role will mostly be located within the academies.
What we are looking for:
- Diploma in Careers Guidance or Qualification in Careers Guidance at QCF Level 7
- Experience of managing a team, ideally a careers guidance team
- Experience of successfully motivating students to plan and achieve their career goals
- A good communicator with the ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of people
