Careers Coordinator

Kensington Aldridge Academy (KAA)Kensington and Chelsea

Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding challenge working with young people? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

The role

We are appointing a new Careers Coordinator to join our outstanding academy from January 2022. The successful candidate will be a professional person with the ability to inspire and coach our young people through high-quality careers advice.  They will be able to help all students at KAA understand their career options by connecting them with industry experts for work experience, delivering presentations to all year groups, organising trips and developing a programme of careers events throughout the school year – all designed to broaden our student’s aspirations for the future.

What you offer

You will be a positive person, with the organisation and communication skills required to effectively manage the careers provision here at the academy.  You will be reflective and resilient in the face of setbacks, and be open to making improvements to the systems and processes around you.

Previous school experience is not essential but having an understanding of a careers provision and its responsibilities within an academy like ours – from experience at other schools, colleges, libraries or community centres - is advantageous. We may prioritise applications from candidates who have obtained or are working towards their professional qualification in careers guidance but this is not an essential requirement for the application process at this stage.

What KAA offers

The successful candidate will be joining a team that is firmly committed to making KAA one of the best academies in the UK. The value of being part of a great team should never be underestimated. Being a member of KAA means you will be joining a supportive and talented group of staff who will invest in your professional development. This role will be excellent preparation for your future career, wherever that may take you, and previous careers staff have gone on to take up roles in social care and teaching. Further information about the unique benefits and strengths of KAA can be found via our website.

The role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis on a 42 week annual contract.

Application process

The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 20th September 2021. Interviews will take place soon after the deadline and where possible, candidates may be contacted ahead of the application deadline.

The candidate pack can be downloaded from this page and suitable candidates can contact our HR Manager, Alice Burch, at recruitment@kaa.org.uk with further questions.
