About the role:  We are seeking to appoint an excellent candidate for the position of Caretaker who will form part of a broader Site Team within Tree Tops Primary Academy.  This position will require you to be responsible for the care of the school premises, a range of general maintenance duties within the buildings and the grounds whilst ensuring high standards of cleaning and maintaining the security of school premises are upheld.  You will oversee a small team of cleaners, ensuring the school is kept to a hygienically high standard of cleanliness.

This post is full time and offered on a fixed term basis until the end of August 2019, and will be taken over two shifts per day; 7.00am - 8.00am and 12noon - 7.00pm, Monday to Friday.  

Applicants will need a flexible approach to working hours and duties very occasionally. You should be trustworthy, reliable, hard-working, conscientious and be able to work independently or as part of a team. You will have a general knowledge of Health & Safety, basic IT skills, a good understanding of Safeguarding, be able to undertake basic maintenance tasks, and be responsible for the security of the building whilst on duty.

The academy caters for boys and girls from the age of three to eleven years. It is well equipped, having its own Nursery, library, 2 halls, kitchens and extensive outdoor areas.

We want our children to enjoy a wide range of experiences which bring the curriculum to life and make learning active, meaningful and relevant.
