Caretaker (part-time)

About the role

This is a key role within the school, to ensure there is a safe and legal environment for all students, staff and visitors. This is a hands on role, requiring a range of practical and DIY skills.  IT skills would also be desirable - but training will be provided. The post holder will work closely with the Principals and Senior Leadership Teams to ensure a well maintained learning environment for our students.

We are still currently recruiting for a part time role only.

Part-time – 10 hours per week, 52 weeks a year

Who we are looking for

Good numeracy, literacy and written and verbal communication skills

Practical skills required for the role – Competent at basic building repairs and maintenance, ability to use industrial, electrical & mechanical equipment, ability to cope with the physical demands of the role

Ability to understand and apply Health and Safety Regulations

Be able to plan, manage and prioritise workload effectively, whilst remaining flexible to respond to urgent requests

Enthusiastic and conscientious, proactive and flexible

Ability to be flexible and work as part of a team or individually as required

Have a sense of pride in caring for our schools and their surroundings

Good, competent IT skills (training can be provided if required)
