A brand new role has been created at TWGSB. We are looking for a friendly Caretaker to join out well respected Site team. Whilst this role will be based in Sevenoaks following a shift pattern you may need to assist the Site Team at both sites and there needs to be a degree of flexibility on hours, as and when it is required.

 

Purpose of the Job

·      To assist the Site Manager in managing the Health and Safety procedures of the School so that the safest possible environment is achieved and maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.

·      To support the Site Manager in maintaining and developing the School premises and grounds and ensure the School is a clean, healthy and safe environment for all.

·      Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people with regard to the area child protection procedures.

 

They will be expected to have experience in building maintenance and/or cleaning and skills in a number of caretaking disciplines.

 

The successful candidate will need to be flexible and self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site. Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential. There will be a need for good time management, to prioritise duties and work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will ensure our school site is maintained to the highest standard that will offer all our children the best learning environment both indoors and out.

 

Any overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate. This is an all year-round full-time post, 37 hours per week, 25 days holiday.
