We are seeking a Bus Driver for casual driving duties before and after school hours and occasionally during school hours. You should have a friendly, welcoming manner and an ability to work in collaboration with students as well as colleagues. In addition, you may be required to assist with other duties such as grounds work and assisting to setup for school functions, or as directed by the Principal’s delegate. You will hold a LR minimum license – MR license preferred and hold or be eligible to obtain a Driver Authorisation (refer QLD Department of Transport for details).

To be successful in this role you will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Estimated Start Date:  Commencing 19 April 2021

Position Tenure:  Casual

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: Casual hours - as required - approximately 24 hrs/wk, Monday to Friday.

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: Services Staff Level 1 - $32.68 per hour (Casual Rate)

Employment Conditions:  Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
