Marymount is a co-educational Catholic primary school which caters for over 1000 students and is located on the southern end of the Gold Coast. We are a predominantly 6-stream school which has an inclusive education policy and is situated on the same campus as Marymount College.

We are seeking a welcoming and professional Casual School Officer to undertake a diverse range of administrative tasks on an ad-hoc basis as required, within our busy school office. 
You must be a proactive and a collaborative team member, providing support to parents, students, school staff and the wider school community.

 

About you – what you will bring to the role:

  • Ability to multi-task, work unsupervised and to specific timeframes
  • Proactive attitude and an enormous amount of initiative!
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, eMinerva, Excel and Dynamics 365 is desirable but not essential
  • Highly organised with an attention to detail
  • Demonstrate sound judgement, confidentiality and discretion


Typical duties will include:

  • Answering telephone and enquiries and Reception
  • Student absentee recording and data entry
  • Sick Bay/First Aid
  • Financial administrative duties
  • WHS knowledge desirable
  • Liaison with cleaners, tradesmen, and staff re maintenance issues

To be successful in this role you will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement; 
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • provide evidence of full COVID vaccinated as directed by the Qld Chief Health Officer

Position tenure:  Casual

Weeks worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure duration (where Fixed Term)

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: Casual

Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 2 - $35.20 per hour OR School Officer Level 3 - $37.22 per hour (will depend on position on the day)

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
