JLC is looking to appoint a candidate who has knowledge and experience of computer science to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team. We are proud of the performance of John Leggott College, its students and staff, and the candidate will share the college’s cultural values and vision, having the right blend of skills, talent and experience. Experience in delivering A Level Computer Science and BTEC IT courses is desirable but not essential as we are looking for a candidate who is a specialist in this area.

JLC has consistently been in the top 25% of all schools and colleges for A-Level and top 10% for BTEC. John Leggott College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is a 16-plus institution based on a single modern campus close to the town centre, with good access to surrounding rural areas. There are around 1,700 learners at the college, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.
The college was founded in 1958 as John Leggott Grammar School. The sixth form was established in 1968 in the midst of a Scunthorpe education reorganisation.
