We are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join the supportive team at the Stanground Academy.
The successful applicants will provide support to the Catering Manager, ensuring that all catering services are of the highest possible standard. You will be required to prepare meals and provide a friendly and efficient service to all staff and pupils.
Working as part of a dedicated team, providing catering services to pupils, you will need to demonstrate:
- excellent hygiene and health & safety practices
- a good organisational ability
- first class communication skills
The successful candidate will have a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate alongside experience preparing and serving food; also holding a NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Catering and Hospitality would be advantageous.
You will be required to work over the lunchtime period, Monday to Friday. Uniform and training will be provided.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College.
