Curriculum

During their primary years, teachers focus on bringing together students' creativity and commitment in a safe, supportive learning environment for young minds. Queenwood's primary curriculum is structured so that girls gain a deep understanding of diverse subjects, beyond the core English and Mathematics. Specialist teachers ensure girls pick up skills in Art, Music, Computing, Drama, French, and research and critical thinking at an early age.

In their high school years, Queenwood School for Girls students are pushed to develop not only academic potential but also creative, sporting and interpersonal skills. Thus, the curriculum is tailored to be flexible. In Years 11 and 12 Queenwood offers both the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the International Baccalaureate (IB), an internationally recognised alternative pathway to matriculation.

School ethos

Queenwood School for Girls is an internationally minded school which aims to provide a contemporary and liberal education. They strive to develop students who have the intellectual rigour, independence, character and skills to contribute sustainably to the world. This is encompassed by the Queenwood vales of Truth, Courage and Service.
