The City of Birmingham School is the Pupil Referral Unit for Birmingham and we provide education for pupils who have been, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion, Children in Care and those experiencing emotionally based school refusal.
This new post offers an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Careers practitioner to join our school and to play a key part in supporting our secondary aged pupils to fulfil their potential. We seek a proactive professional to lead the development of our Careers provision and to provide careers advice and guidance to students across our five secondary sites. Our Secondary Centres are located in Quinton, Small Heath, Kings Heath and Erdington, with approximately 33 - 77 pupils.
The successful candidate will lead our school to meet the Gatsby Benchmarks and will work with senior staff and students across the school.
We have 165 members of staff working with us. These include teachers, support staff, unqualified teachers and admin staff. The size of our setting allows for vibrant CPD programmes and opportunities for career progression. We have an approachable and supportive Leadership Team who encourage staff motivation and promote work life balance.
