Job overview

Chair of the Qualifications Governance Council

NEBOSH is the leading vocational awarding body for health, safety and environmental qualifications. In 2018 NEBOSH expects to administer over 180,000 assessments through a network of nearly 650 Course Providers in over 120 countries around the world.  A registered charity, NEBOSH has experienced significant growth in overseas markets for its qualifications.

Following a review of its qualification governance processes, NEBOSH has established a new Qualification Governance Council to provide assurance to the NEBOSH Board of Trustees that NEBOSH qualifications meet regulatory requirements and assessment best practice. Due to the retirement of the current Chair of this Council we are looking to fill this position.

Of particular value would be expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Awarding Body Regulatory Requirements
  • Qualification and Assessment Compliance
  • Qualification Design Principles

Health, Safety and Environmental expertise is not required.

NEBOSH is an equal opportunities employer and appropriate assistance will be provided to enable suitable candidates to serve (e.g. Carers’ allowance, meeting papers in Braille)

Please apply by email to the Executive Assistant laura.wise@nebosh.org.uk attaching a full CV. For an informal discussion, please call Dee Arp (Director of Technical Standards) on 0116 263 4700.
