An all year round post fixed by the Board of Trustees at £110 - £120 000 per annum. 29 days holiday plus bank holidays. (A relocation package of up to £8 000 is available). 

Required for September, 2021. 

This is a post that rarely becomes available and offers the right person the opportunity to lead a successfully expanding specialist Trust in the South West. Learn@ MAT is seeking to appoint an experienced, reflective and knowledgeable leader, to take the Trust through its next phase of growth and development, in ensuring the realisation of our vision and ethos grows. We seek to appoint a CEO who will build on the positive reputation of Learn@ MAT and the good Academies within it to establish a centre of excellence in the South West for SEND/AP.

This will be an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who has a deep understanding of SEND and a proven track record in leading excellent organisations.

We are looking for a dynamic and committed leader who:

  • Will provide positive leadership and both challenge and support for the Trustees, Executive Team and Academy Head Teachers who lead our growing group of specialist Academies
  • Is passionate about learning, teaching and personal, social development and representing the voice of families and young people from the most disadvantaged backgrounds;
  • Recognises and values the opportunities provided by a specialist Trust made up of Special Schools and Alternative Provisions;
  • Has proven experience in a range of areas of education and a strong empathy towards ensuring all young people receive the best education and opportunities possible to have positive futures.

 Most importantly the person appointed will need to embrace the ethos and values expressed in the Learn@ MAT Statement of Purpose.
