Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Multi Academy TrustSuffolk

We wish to appoint an inspirational Catholic education leader as CEO of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Multi Academy Trust - a family of schools in the Ipswich, Bury St Edmund’s, Haverhill and Cambridge area. The Trust has been established by, and is accountable to, the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia. The Diocese intends for the Trust to grow from one High School and five Primaries to two High Schools and nine Primaries during the next stage of development.

Reporting to the Board of Directors and ultimately the Members, the CEO will be responsible for the strategic, financial and operational effectiveness of the Trust and, alongside the Executive Team and Headteachers, for the educational success of the Academies within it.

The CEO will serve as an Ex-Officio Director on the Board and will lead the Trust’s Executive Team, including line management of the CFO, the Primary Improvement Lead and, currently, the one High School Headteacher. The CEO will be part of the performance management of the Headteachers within the Trust.

The successful applicant will be an exceptional leader, creating a culture of constant improvement and the highest achievement for all areas of the Academies’ work. The CEO will seek to enhance our Catholic values and ethos ensuring that our focus is on the educational and spiritual development of each individual young learner. The CEO will lead on the development of capacity through training and facilitation, and on the setting of performance expectations. The CEO will have responsibility for the creation and review of a rolling strategic plan in part arising from the strategic and school improvement plans developed within each Academy.

The successful applicant will be a practicing Catholic with demonstrable experience of strategic management in the education sector.
