Don’t have experience working with children but are an experienced Support Worker/Residential Care Worker or Sports Coach then please do get in touch as the school would really like to meet with you as well.

The Role


As a Child Support Worker, you will be supporting these pupils with Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviour to work to the best of their ability in order to make the most of their education and learning.

Your role will be to build relationships with the pupils in order to adapt to their personalised approach to learning to help them achieve their individual outcomes and guide them towards their aspirations for the future.

You will support pupils to develop self-confidence and take pride in their work to increase positive attitudes to learning and build on their key skills.

The environment in which you will be working is in an all-age generic school serving South Leeds. 

The school caters for pupils with a wide range of learning needs from moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs, Asperger’s and Autism.

Requirements:


A minimum of 6 months experience working with children, young people or adults with autism


Available full time Monday-Friday 08:30-15:30


Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one.


Be Team Teach Trained or be willing to attend our 1 day (free) course


Happy to support with pupils personal care if required
