Job overview

Mayfield is a large special school which educates children and young adults between the ages of 2 -19 years who have a diverse range of learning needs. The Primary site is on Heathfield Road adjacent to Lime Tree Children’s Centre. The Secondary site, on Wheeler Street, is in a unique setting on a shared site with Lozells Primary and Holte Secondary schools which allows us to collaborate to provide individualised learning opportunities for all pupils across the three schools. We currently have 282 pupils on roll.

Our Governing Body are seeking to appoint an outstanding class teacher to our full time vacancy. Previous experience of working within an SEN environment and a desire to work with pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and/or on the Autistic Spectrum are essential.

The successful candidates will be highly motivated, outstanding classroom practitioners with a proven track record who are able to inspire and engage our pupils and are keen to work in our exciting and vibrant school. NQT’s are welcome to apply for these roles.
