Job overview

Are you excited about making a difference to children's lives? We are looking for a forward thinking and creative teacher to join our friendly and skilled community.

Children are at the heart of everything we do. Our ethos is underpinned by the Chesterfield Values and, as a result, children exhibit very good ‘behaviour for learning’. An exciting curriculum and dedicated staff motivate our children to become resilient and successful learners.

Growth Mindset and a healthy work-life balance are also important to us, so we have embedded a ‘no marking’ Feedback for Learning Policy. This allows children to have a voice and take responsibility for their learning, with targeted guidance from staff, so that they make good progress.

Our good school, as rated by OFSTED, provides a bright and modern learning environment both inside and out - including a Creative Hub (for Art, Cooking and D&T) and refitted classrooms.  As an inclusive school, we are proud to meet the needs of all our pupils. Additional staff enable us to offer smaller classes and focused teaching groups.

We understand that staff need good access to technology so, as an Apple school, teachers are provided with a MacBook and all staff have an iPad for use at home and school.

Chesterfield Primary is large school that is part of the Enfield Learning Trust - a partnership of successful primary schools in Enfield. Staff are strongly supported by our outstanding leaders; year teams share joint PPA and planning; and staff are actively encouraged to become involved in the development of curriculum areas that are of particular interest. There are also excellent opportunities for quality training and career advancement across the Trust.

The wellbeing of our staff is a priority, so we ensure their hard work and dedication is recognised and valued, for example all staff are given access to Perkbox (an App that provides discounts on many high street chains).

Close to both the M25 and railway, we are within easy reach for candidates living in London, Hertfordshire and Essex. Applicants must have a command of spoken English that is sufficient to effectively carry out duties of the role.

“ Working with Chesterfield children is hugely rewarding. I feel well supported and the wide range of training has enabled me to progress rapidly in my career.” Staff member.

Summing up Chesterfield in so few words does not do us justice, so come and meet us and talk to one of our staff.

Please contact Kaaren Holmes, headteacher, on 01992 760678 or email office@chesterfieldprimaryelt.org for more information.

For an application pack please email our Human Resources Officer at HR@enfieldlearningtrust.org.
