Vision and values

The school’s motto is "progress, partnership and pride". Teachers aim to provide the right learning environment and tools to allow each student to reach their potential. They strive to value every individual's unique talents, beliefs and cultures, and to promote a positive ethos that values respect, responsibility and participation. Students are supported to grow spiritually, morally, socially and culturally.

At its core, the curriculum prioritises English, maths, science and ICT. It provides a broad range of other subjects including drama, music, RE, history, geography, languages and media studies.

Ofsted report

“Good teaching in the college is typically characterised by teachers asking questions skilfully to make students think hard and consolidate their understanding. Lessons are usually well matched to the abilities of students and this means that individuals are able to make good progress.”
