Sheng Bo International School is the first international government backed school opened as a partnership between SPGS International and Herald Education Hong Kong. A vibrant, co-educational day school, it will offer a full British Curriculum enhanced with the best elements of Chinese culture and learning. Initially offering early primary provision, the school will grow over the years ahead into a full K-12 school.
As a Key Stage 1 class teacher, your challenge will be to deliver high quality teaching and pastoral care, while establishing a culture and love of learning and life amongst students. You will also help develop the school’s curriculum, plan lessons with colleagues and share ideas, approaches and professional knowledge. Additionally, you will be based in the prosperous, fast-growing Hi-Tech District of Chengdu – a city that offers an exceptional living and working environment.
To apply, you will need Qualified Teacher Status (UK), PGCE or a Degree in Primary Education and at least two years’ teaching experience in KS1 education in the UK. A good understanding of how pupils’ learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development and the various stages of child development is important too.
