Class Teacher

Simpson Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Wester Inch in Bathgate, West Lothian. The school accommodates 22 mainstream primary classes and a nursery class with a roll of 80 in the morning and 70 in the afternoon.

The school and nursery is currently staffed by a Head Teacher, a Depute Head Teacher, 3 Principal Teachers, 28 teaching staff, 8 nursery nurses, 2 Early Years Officers, 9 Pupil Support Workers, an Administrative Assistant and 2 Clerical Assistants.

The school has grown significantly in size since 2007 when it opened with 70 children and has recently been extended to accommodate additional classes. It now has a P1-7 roll of 591 pupils.

The school works very closely in partnership with parents/carers and the wider community and it has a very active and effective Parent Council that helps to enhance the experiences of the children and raise funds for a range of additional resources.
