Classroom assistant - Cymhorthydd

We’re looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop new skills, to join our Traineeship team. Using detailed knowledge and specialist skills, you will provide support in assessing the needs of learners and establish productive working relationships, acting as a role model and setting high expectations where required. You will support the Employability Mentor in ensuring ILPs are effective and promote inclusion and acceptance of all learners within the learning environment. Supporting learners consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs, you will promote independence and provide feedback to learners in relation to progression and achievement.

What we’re looking for:

• Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths at grade C or above
• Pro-active and self-motivated
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a positive ‘can-do’ approach
• Effective and successful management of time and resources to meet challenging targets and be willing to learn and develop new skills.
• Previous experience of working with NEETs or supporting learners
• A full driving licence and own vehicle with business use insurance cover is essential.

The position is based at our Yale sites, however a flexible approach is required as you may have to work at any of our sites.

The ability to speak fluent Welsh is desirable.

A DBS Disclosure will be requested from the successful candidate being offered the position.
