The Pointer School, a leading independent co-educational school for boys and girls aged 3-11, maintains a vibrant Christian Ethos. The school seeks an enthusiastic, dynamic and well qualified classroom teacher and SENCO to join our passionate teaching staff, whose dedicated members inspire our students to love learning and encourage children to reach their personal best. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the teaching and learning in his/her classroom, as well as the school’s SEN and Gifted and Talented provision. The successful candidate will be an exceptional educator who is highly motivated to ensure continued inspirational engagement and raising of attainment with our students. Proven success in working in, and leading teams, strong intellectual acumen, superb classroom practice, fine understanding of 21st century learning, understanding of tracking and implementations of findings, solid IT skills, and excellent collegial, interpersonal and communication skills are essential requirements for this role. 

An authentic commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of our students and supporting the Christian ethos of the School are also essential. 

The post will commence in January 2019. Salary: £33-37k. Remuneration will reflect experience and ability.
