Applications are invited for the position of Classroom Teacher based at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Blackall.

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a mixed, non-selective, independent primary school in Queensland, serving students from the age of 4-11. The primary school is situated in Blackall.

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School was founded in 1917 to serve Catholic families in the region. It is the only Catholic school in the area. Teachers benefit from regular professional development opportunities, and the primary school enjoys a close-knit family-like community, with children, parents and staff working in partnership to provide for and nurture the development of each pupil.

Facilities

The primary school has two playground areas, a multi-purpose centre for indoor sport, music productions and community events, a rugby and cricket oval. Each classroom has Interactive Projectors and Apple TVs, along with the use of computer trolleys with laptops and iPads. 

Curriculum

The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum designed to engage students throughout their primary years of education. It has recently incorporated online Japanese lessons via Skype so that students benefit from learning about a new language and another culture. St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School also engages in a number of enrichment days and extra-curricular activities – seeing children  learn additional skills and gain new experiences outside of the classroom.
