We are seeking to appoint a passionate, reflective class teacher to join our forward-thinking team, from September 2019. We invite applications from teachers with experience in Reception through to KS2. We are interested to hear from applicants who have a commitment to facilitating challenging learning opportunities in continuous provision, understand how to deliver innovative risk-taking lessons and are fully focused on pupils’ progress. Successful candidates will have high expectations and know that teaching is about encouraging a genuine love of learning and creating a warm, stimulating environment where both social and educational provision secures the best outcomes for children.

The Department

We are immensely proud of our Kindergarten, Infant and Junior departments. Our staff are committed and dedicated to providing the highest of standards in a caring and supportive environment, understanding their impact on our children’s lives.

Our Kindergarten has recently undergone a total refurbishment providing a stimulating and creative environment for our youngest pupils. Continuous provision is well equip with high quality open ended resources both in and outdoors. Pupils benefit from plenty of space and qualified, enthusiastic motivated staff. Our EYFS curriculum is enhanced with specialised teaching of physical education, ballet and swimming lessons. We pride ourselves on positive relationships with parents and the wider community.

Children progress through to our spacious and inviting Infant Department. Facilities are second to none including a large multifunctional, welcoming hall and purpose built Sports Hall, library and comprehensive outdoor play areas. The KS1 curriculum is enriched with a creative topic-based curriculum supporting experiential learning opportunities throughout the subject areas. Educational visits enrich teaching and learning to enhance learning. Transition to the Juniors’ is thoughtfully supported, ensuring children are ready for this next step.

Whilst the Junior Girls’ and Boys’ departments are located in separate buildings they work collaboratively. The schools show parity in their joint approach to the KS2 curriculum including planning, assessment and extra-curricular activities. Outdoor learning builds on and continues experiential learning approaches in the Infants. The pupils enjoy educational trips and excursions, usually through curriculum topic launches together, benefitting from the advantages of both single sex education and joint ventures. Staff work well together celebrating the successes of this progressive approach.

Ranging from age 3 to 11, our extensive Extra Curricular programme comprises of teacher led and external provider clubs. Activities ranging from academic enrichment, sporting fun to outdoor adventure compliments our creative curriculum providing an all-encompassing education. Our exciting Holiday Club provision supports term time offerings and is integral to our 51 weeks provision. We aim to create a happy and stimulating environment for all our children.
