Mother Teresa School caters for students from four years of age, where students are enrolled in our Early Learning Centre, to students in Year Six. Our school motto “do small things with great love” inspires us to care for fellow members of our school community as well as reach out into the wider community. The School prides itself on the diverse range of activities it offers students and this is due to the generosity and expertise of the staff.  

About the Role

Mother Teresa School has a permanent Classroom Japanese Teacher (position commencing at the start of the 2022 school year).

Mother Teresa School has four classes per grade from Kindergarten to Year Six. The successful applicant must be capable of working collaboratively in a team environment We are seeking staff members that have a strength in curriculum and ideally have led or been actively involved in curriculum initiatives in their current school.

Mother Teresa School prides itself on the diverse range of activities it offers the students and this is due to the generosity and expertise of the staff. An ability to contribute in any area would be beneficial. Students from Year Four onward are involved in a BYOD program so experience with iPads is essential.

Essential Criteria

  • A commitment to Catholic education and the promotion of the mission of the Catholic Church.
  • Well-developed self-awareness and the ability to reflection on your own performance, integrity, and resilience.
  • The passion and expertise to work individually and collectively with students, to maximise the learning outcomes for each one, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Demonstrated high-level teaching skills, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy across all key learning areas.
  • An ability to engage learners in lessons and units of work that inspire curiosity and problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the capacity to develop productive and caring relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • The passion and expertise to work individually and collectively with students, to maximise the learning outcomes for each one, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Demonstrated capacity and willingness to develop students’ unique capabilities through extra-curricular activities.
