Classroom Teacher - Siena Catholic Primary School, SIPPY DOWNS

The successful applicant will:

• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
• hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  
  

A classroom teacher position is available for 2019. Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum is essential. The successful applicants will demonstrate understanding of and commitment to  learning and teaching, with a proven ability to analyse and use appropriate data to inform priorities and apply effective and expected practices in the classroom. Experience and willingness to work in professional teams to achieve improved outcomes for each child is also essential. Communication skills, a positive approach and support for the school's vision and mission and strategic goals are important attributes.. When addressing  criteria it will be important to outline year level experiences and areas of particular expertise and achievement.

Siena Catholic Primary School is located in Sippy Downs, in close proximity to the beaches of the Sunshine Coast. We are a co-educational primary school catering for approximate 630 students. Siena has a strong commitment to Christian faith, meeting the needs of each student and a supportive community. The school began in 2002 and has rapidly grown to its full capacity and is guided by the principles and teachings of St Catherine of Siena.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
