The successful applicant will:

 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

We are seeking classroom teachers committed to providing a valuable contribution to our school community both through curriculum and extra-curricular activities. The successful applicant will demonstrate innovative teaching and learning practice and effective classroom management strategies. The ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents and other school community members, plan and teach collaboratively, provide curriculum differentiation and utilise digital technologies is essential. Experience with teaching multi-age classes is desirable.

St Joseph's Primary School Nundah has a long history of education in the Josephite tradition since it was first established in 1916.  It is a vibrant, northern inner-city school, close to public transport and the airport, providing quality education for our students.  Our school staff works collaboratively with one another and is dedicated to professional learning.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
