Job overview

Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust (CHAT) is the Charitable Trust set up to run and manage four Primary and one Secondary Academies serving approximately 2500 children. Based in Enfield we are focused on driving up the quality of education provision and standards.

The role is part of a central services team which currently supports five academies and the Board of Trustees. Excellent communication skills are needed to liaise between a range of parties such as board members, governors, head teachers, teaching staff and support staff pupils and to liaise with regulatory bodies such as the Department for Education (DfE), the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Ofsted and the Local Authority.

You will often be dealing with information of a highly confidential nature, and will need to be trustworthy and discreet in order to meet our data protection obligations. You should be used to working your own initiative and be proactive in completing tasks promptly, whilst being adaptable to keep up with the unpredictable nature of the workload where demands may change constantly. You will therefore need a good understanding about your role within the Trust.

You will need to be computer literate and have a flexible worth ethic that will allow you to fully support the needs of the role which will include regular evening support for official meetings and governor training.

This high level support contributes to the life chances of our children so you will need to be passionate about education and delivering a professional service, In return for your proven expertise and commitment we can offer you an opportunity to work for a Trust which has aspirations to grow and deliver outstanding opportunities for our children and their families. We will support you within our team through regular supervision and training opportunities. The Trust has a pension scheme and a health plan.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment and follow our safer recruitment practices.
