South Wiltshire UTC is a specialist STEM school. We are looking to recruit an organised and reliable candidate as a new Clerk to Governors. The successful applicant will be required to attend all five Full Governing Body meetings and four Finance and Premises Governing body meetings each year. Meetings are normally in the evening between 6 and 7 (Finance & GB meetings last until 8). The Clerk to Governors works closely with the Governors, Principal and office team to ensure the smooth running of the Governing Body. It is essential that the candidate has a good standard of practical knowledge and skills in administration as well as the ability to absorb regulations and procedural information and communicate this. Prior clerking experience in the educational sector would be advantageous but not essential. Hours of work: 100 hours per year to include at least 12 evenings

South Wiltshire University Technical College (UTC) is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Wiltshire serving students from the age of 14-19. The secondary school, situated in Sailsbury has a capacity of 600 students. It is in partnership with organisations including the University of Southampton, Wiltshire Council, Wiltshire College, Royal Navy and Public Health England.
South Wiltshire University Technical College opened in 2015 and specialises in Science, Engineering and Computing. A UTC is a new type of practical learning environment where pupils learn practical skills alongside the traditional curriculum to develop their employability skills for the future. Each student is allocated their own laptop or tablet to access, along with £1 million specialist Science, Engineering and Computing equipment.
