If so, Bushey St James Trust (BSJT) are looking to appoint an extremely efficient and self-motivated person to join The Trust as our Clerk and Company Secretary. The role includes attending BSJT Board meetings, local governing body meetings and committee meetings which are generally held during weekday evenings with occasional meetings held during the school day. The successful person will provide efficient administrative support to The Trust and the local governing bodies, produce and distribute accurate minutes of all meetings as required.
You will need to be organised, a team player and used to working to tight deadlines. Apart from the formal governor and committee meetings the remainder of the role is relatively flexible with some home working. Access to a computer and the internet is essential as is the ability to observe confidentiality requirements. Previous experience of Clerking to the Governors would be desirable but is not essential. The ideal person will have a real interest in education and believe that there are no limits to what can be achieved.
The salary for this post is APT & C Points 26 – 29 (depending on skills and experience) plus fringe allowance (currently £23,866pa to £26,470pa + £857pa), paid pro-rata based on the hours worked. (Actual pro-rata salary based on 380 hours annually = £5,360pa - £5,945pa + £192pa). Applicants should be educated to post 16 level or above and have a high degree of common sense.
