Transport /Extended Day and Club Coordinator 

RESPONSIBLE TO:  School Business Manager 

Remit:  To line manage the minibus drivers and   organise and oversee the smooth running of all bus travel activities.

Role & Responsibilities – Transport 

 1) To draw up a list of   children who are travelling on the minibus and organise the route informing   parents and drivers of the timetable.

2) To cost the minibus   service informing the Executive Head of the contribution it makes towards   running costs.

3) To inform parents and the   Head of School when children’s behaviour is poor on the minibus or shuttle   service and decide upon sanctions.

4) To liaise with the   behaviour lead when children’s behaviour is poor when on the bus.

5) To organise the shuttle   service morning and evening ensuring that children arrive safely and in good   time at their given destinations.

6) To ensure that specific   people are available to meet and greet or dismiss children from the shuttle   and minibus service.

7) To try and organise for   the buses to be used for other activities as required where ever possible.   This includes trips to local centres parks and facilities.

8) To meet regularly with   the drivers giving training and disseminating information.

9) To report to the   Executive Head any issues related to transportation that arise.

10) To liaise closely with the Facilities Manager regarding any repairs to   buses that might be reported to you.

Role   & Responsibilities – Extended Day and Club Coordinator

1. To ensure that all administration activities and tasks meet given     deadlines and are performed effectively.

2. To reflect on the     effectiveness of all tasks and activities and make adaptions and changes to     procedures where necessary.

3. To provide a service     to pass on to the appropriate person all enquiries from visitors, parents,     children and staff.

5. To manage and administer     the extended day & year clubs and associated registers.

6. To ensure that all     communication in all mediums that goes out from the school is clear,     effective and of high quality.

7. To carry out typing     for Education Director and/or Head of School.

8. To access the school     intranet on a weekly basis, keeping up to date with policy and procedure     changes and reading school news.

9. To report any Health     & Safety or Safeguarding issues that may be of concern.

10. Any others duties as directed by the Education Director and Head of     School.

Preferred Experience. Logistic Coordinator Graduate preferred or experience in logistics, timetabling and line management of a driving team.
