The Forest School is a successful and friendly 11-16 comprehensive boys school, committed to achieving high standards and to developing the potential of all our pupils and staff.
We are looking to appoint a Community Leader to lead the Hawking mixed-age pastoral Community. Successful applicants will be friendly, enthusiastic and cheerful, who enjoy working with children and will want to make a difference to young peoples’ lives.
If appointed, you will lead the Hawking Community of approximately 275 pupils and 16 tutors, encouraging everyone to work towards our ethos of “where boys learn best” and make an active contribution to the life of the school. You will liaise with parents, staff and external agencies to support pupils; manage challenging pupil behaviour; work with pupils and parents on improving school attendance; lead a team of tutors in the pastoral aspects of their role and provide opportunities to praise, reward and celebrate pupil success.
When appointed, you will join a team of friendly, supportive, hard-working and talented staff, committed to providing the best education possible to the boys in our school. We offer excellent induction and training, further professional opportunities and outstanding facilities.
