We are committed to ensuring that our deaf and hearing impaired students get the very best from their time studying with the Chesterfield College Group. It is an extremely wide-ranging role that includes, interpreting lectures and tutorials in BSL, note taking and assisting students as they prepare for exams in both class based study programmes and work based programmes with Learning Unlimited.
Excellent communication skills are essential, along with a real understanding of (and experience of working with) deaf and hearing impaired people and flexibility to support across our Chesterfield and Derby campuses. Ideally you should have or be working towards a BSL Level 3 qualification and experience of note taking would be desirable.
