Salary: NJC 25-30 (£23,111-£27,358) 

Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week

Spencer Academies Trust is looking to appoint a Communications and PR Officer on a fixed term contract to join the Trust central communications team, with the potential for a permanent appointment after 12 months. 

Your primary role will be to assist in developing a communications structure and assisting in creating robust marketing campaigns and a social media strategy to support the aims and objectives set out in the Trust business plan. In addition, you will assist in high profile projects including the development and launch of new member schools, highlighting the record of achievement and attainment in existing Spencer academies and communicating how the Trust works daily to change the lives of over 16,000 children and young people. 

The successful candidate will have high level and exemplary communication skills, proven persuasive written ability and sharp attention to detail. Experience of copywriting or drafting press releases, social media management and marketing would be an advantage. You will be confident to work with regional and national media networks and committed to developing a career working in support of schools and the broader education sector. 

You will be able to drive and have use of a car ( business mileage payable), be flexible (occasional evening and weekend work may be required) and have a professional personal appearance.
